Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a family of musicians. The majority of her youth listening to classic music and boleros of the past, classic ranchero or romantic tunes along with old classical pieces. Ana has a passion for tangos, opera, and every form of dramatic performances. Her mother taught her to sing, but she started more intense training in vocals with Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when he was a renowned Mexican opera tenor. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. As a student and being a young professional within Mexico City and Guadalajara she was a member of several chamber ensembles as well as choruses. When she moved to the United States in 2000, she joined the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before shifting to her home in southern California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and sings Latin American traditional music solo in a variety of private occasions. Passion and enthusiasm for music, art, and performing keep her engaged with many local organizations as a performer and teacher. Ana has been a participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands (as well being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana is a fan of classic Latin American songs and hopes to encourage others to sing the same.
